Job Description

SUMMARY

 

Provides support for the development of a comprehensive clinical program for children, families and adults. Provides psychological assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, and consultation as requested by multidisciplinary team. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Training and Experience

 

A doctorate in clinical, counseling or school psychology.

 

 

        Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 

 

  • Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team.

 

  • Understanding of interventions including but not limited to: MI, Family Systems, CBT, Trauma Informed Care and more.


  • Strong understanding of behavioral health-related technologies and willingness to use with clients.


  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of community mental health and preventative mental health.


  • Considerable knowledge of the various modes of psychotherapy, especially crisis intervention and short-term models using individual, familial, and group approaches.


  • Skill in assessment procedures, therapeutic treatment, crisis intervention techniques, and case management practices including follow-up and closure.


  • Considerable knowledge and skill in diagnostic procedures and the uses of diagnostic instruments. Ability to perform psychological evaluations.

 

8.         Knowledge or experience in consultation and training of interns or other students, or pre-licensed trainees in treatment and assessment.

 

9.         Knowledge and experience in research and evaluation, especially in mental health settings.

 

10.       Considerable knowledge of the cultural characteristics of various minority groups.

 

11.       Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
