Prevention Specialist - Part-time
The Prevention Specialist is responsible for recruiting participants and delivering prevention services in the targeted community. The Prevention Specialist is required to deliver services in Arabic, Swahili or other African Languages.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to interact effectively with youth and families; knowledge of prevention principles and practices; experience working with at-risk children and their families; ability to work effectively on a team; knowledge of community resources,
knowledge/ability to work effectively cross-culturally; and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Training and Experience
Requires a HS or GED diploma and training & experience equivalent to an Associate degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related behavioral health field, plus two years of related experience; or a Bachelor degree.
