Job Description


The HCTC Foster CareLicensing Coach (FCLC) works closely with HCTC Foster Care Coordinator and the FosterCare teams to supportFoster Parents of La Paloma Family Services (LPFS) HCTC Foster CareProgram inproviding mental health services to children. The FCLC will help provide supportiveservices to include, assisting foster parents, advocating within the childwelfare and behavioral health systems, developing goals and plans,  providing de-escalation support to fosterparents and youth in crisis, reviewing all provider notes for accuracy, providingindividual and group training.  The HCTC FCLC will supervise the fosterhome facilities to ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and will coordinatewith outside agencies, schools, and State agencies to meet theserequirements. 


Bachelorsin a behavioral health field or non-behavioral health field and one year experiencein direct service child welfare/ behavioral health or

Associate degree in behavioral health field and two years’ experience in direct service child welfare/foster care licensing or

Associate degree in non-behavioral health field (including AA RN) and three years’ experience in direct service in child welfare/ behavioral health

Must hold a BHT designation

Prefer experience in licensing or monitoring fosterhomes, experience in writing home studies, assessments of family systems andbehavior management experience with children.
