Job Description

Responsible for supporting Billing Specialist functions through insurance verification, working eligibility rejects from payers, opening resolved claims, tracking all pended claims due to eligibility related issues, responding to benefit plan inquiries from Finance, reporting stats and outcomes, and assisting with other Billing duties to help achieve timely filing goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Training and Experience
High School diploma or GED and one year insurance eligibility verification with insurance companies experience required ; AHCCCS and Behavioral Health experience preferred. Proficient and accurate 10 key skills. Excellent oral and written skills and proficiency in Excel.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

1.Ability to understand insurance verification, including all types of payers, including Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid.

2.Knowledge of Behavioral Health plans.

3.Knowledge of HIPAA Standard communication and documentation.

4.Must have the ability to communicate, and have excellent writing skills.

5.Must work independently with minimum supervision.

6.Ability to analyze reports, and provide any suggestions for system improvements or reduction in errors.

7.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace, changing environment while presenting a courteous and confidential manner when dealing with staff and management.
